RAZOR BRANDING BLOG: I'm a Headline, How are You?

I'm a Headline, How are You?

Psychology has long identified four different personality types. But to look at them through the eyes of advertising is a lot more fun. The following is the first in a 4-part series discussing these 4 personality types and how you need to craft your message to be understood.

Headline

The Headline personality type is my favorite. Because like most people I best identify with the people most like me. That said, I think Headlines are the best.

The profile of a typical Headline:
  • Results
  • Acts first
  • Business-like
  • Makes snap decisions
  • Risk taker
  • Focused on NOW

The Headline can be identified by the look of their office:

  • Clean desk
  • A few family photos
  • Work materials in use
  • Cool efficiency

Headlines will pay attention to the dress code:

  • Always appropriate
  • Usually non-descript

The typical job title for a Headline is:

  • Entrepreneurs
  • Sales Managers
  • Team Leaders
  • Division Heads

Adjectives usually associated with Headlines:

  • Forceful
  • Persistent
  • Leadership
  • Control
  • Competitive
